Since its inception, it's been clear that US college sport has never been purely about competition and is far from equitable. Females make up 54 percent of the student body, yet they only received 36 percent of sports operating dollars. The student-athletes who generate the [NCAA's] revenues, many of whom are African American and from lower-income backgrounds, end up with little or nothing.
As a result, these athletes lose out on potentially billions in salaries. Furthermore, too many athletes are lost to a broken spirit and a shattered identity after their playing careers are over. The identity crisis that can occur at the end of formal competitive athletics should be anticipated, planned for, and proactively acted on.
Colleges and universities should not just discard individuals after their playing careers end. Instead, they need to be providing athletes with the necessary resources to help them live up to the mantra of 'more than an athlete.'
Our vision is to empower a new generation of athletes to become entrepreneurs, social influencers, and leaders within their communities. We inspire confidence and provide resources to make this a reality through our fintech-first approach for athletes and athletic programs.

As Black leaders throughout history have told us, controlling our finances is an effective tool to fight against a history of systemic racism.
And we take that seriously. Our team (many of whom are former athletes from diverse backgrounds) are a part of this culture. We're reinventing what it means to be an athlete and helping brands join us in this impactful journey. For us, this is more than technology; it's a movement.
